An Innovative Trading Company Providing Solutions to Customers Worldwide Masahide Takemoto An Innovative Trading Company Providing Solutions to Customers Worldwide Masahide Takemoto

Thank you very much for your continued support following my appointment as President & CEO on January 26, 2023.

Since our company’s launch in April 2008, we have been operating across many sectors as a hybrid “manufacturer/trading company” centered on innovation and sales expertise. Over the years, we have succeeded in leveraging the Toyobo Group’s advanced core technologies as well as the domestic and international networks cultivated during the earlier era of Shinko Sangyo Co., Ltd.

Subsequently, in April 2022, the Textile Business Division was spun off as Toyobo Textile Co., Ltd., resulting in a restructured entity focused on advanced products. Moving forward, we will continue to operate as the core trading company of the Toyobo Group while reflecting our slogan, “Ever-Changing.”

Our corporate philosophy springs from the experience of our predecessors and emphasizes that failure to follow it would result in our own failure and the inability to sustain the company. At Toyobo, we have established a history of over 140 years based on a singular philosophy handed down from our predecessors, which states simply, “Junri-Sokuyu” (Adhering to Reason Leads to Prosperity).

As the trading company of the Group, Toyobo STC has further expanded this philosophy into the principles of “place the customer first; ensure mutual prosperity for all parties; pursue a commitment to first-class standards; uphold respect for all; and enable participation by all.” Our employees keep these principles at top of mind as we strive to become an even more powerful manufacturing/trading company.

We trust we can look forward to your continued support as we pursue ongoing growth into the future.

President & CEO Masahide Takemoto
